About me

I love books. I’ve been an avid reader since early childhood. I also love to write. My first job was writing a community happenings column for a local newspaper while I was in junior high school. During high school, I found a job where I was surrounded by books. I began working at the county library and continued working there through college, first as a page and then as a library clerk, in the circulation and reference departments. After graduating from college with a history degree, I attended law school and practiced law for many years. For ten years, I taught law, government and history classes at a local community college. My husband and I bought an 18th century house located beside Raccoon Creek in southern New Jersey where we raised our children. We now have a grandson. In addition to the flocks of sheep, chickens and ducks that roam our acres, there is always a dog and occasionally a cat. I love gardening and listening to music: classical, pop, rock, and the Great American Songbook. My husband and I co-edited our county historical society’s quarterly newsletter for many years. I loved contributing articles. The shelves in our home library overflow with books, and many more books fill shelves and bookcases located throughout the house. I still own my favorite well-worn childhood books. The Wedding Trees, a children’s book, is my first book. My second book, Stratton Hall: A House With A Name, a blend of memoir and local history, is also available for purchase. I hope you’ll check them out!
